PERAN SERIKAT PEKERJA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN PESELISIHAN HUBUNGAN INDUSTRIAL DI KOTA TANGERANG

Penelitian ini menggambarkan bagaimana serikat pekerja memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam menjaga keharmonisan hubungan industrial di Kota Tangerang, wilayah yang dikenal sebagai salah satu pusat industri terbesar di Provinsi Banten. Dalam kenyataan sehari-hari, ketegangan antara kebutuhan akan keadilan bagi pekerja dan tuntutan efisiensi dari pihak pengusaha kerap tak terhindarkan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini berupaya memahami lebih dalam bagaimana serikat pekerja hadir sebagai penyeimbang dalam relasi kekuasaan di tempat kerja. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi langsung, serta kajian dokumen, melibatkan berbagai pihak yang terlibat dalam konflik ketenagakerjaan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa serikat pekerja tidak hanya menjadi pendamping dan pembela hak-hak pekerja, tetapi juga menjadi pengawas dalam proses perundingan, pengawal implementasi kesepakatan, penengah saat terjadi kebuntuan, serta penghubung yang mendorong dialog sosial. Peran-peran tersebut terbukti mampu meredam konflik sebelum membesar dan membawa penyelesaian yang lebih damai dan bermartabat. Penelitian ini menekankan bahwa kehadiran serikat pekerja yang aktif dan solid sangat penting dalam membangun hubungan kerja yang adil dan manusiawi, terutama di tengah kompleksitas dunia industri seperti yang terjadi di Kota Tangerang.
